See Right Through You

Inspired by some of the really neat skeletal things *mechanicalkat did a while back, I've been really wanting to do a skeletal reference of Kaerith for the past week or so. Not only to better illustrate how her neck fur hides some of her back spikes (it's very fluffy!) but also just because... damn, skeletons look pretty awesome. 8D

I'm sure this isn't entirely accurate, though I did use several photos of cat, wolf, tiger and even human skeletons as reference; didn't bother counting vertebrae or ribs, though. I'm also not entirely sure how different the hips would be since she's capable of both bipedal and quadrupedal movement. o_o I still really like how this turned out regardless.

It was really satisfying to just sit down and focus so much attention on detail and proportions. 8D I haven't done that in a while. It also reminded me of just how much pencil smudges when you're putting in a lot of details and keep brushing your hand over it. XD AHHH. *so proud, and really loves her pose!*
